The Power
of Stories
We are bombarded by adverts every day. On all channels. Do this, do that, buy that. It flashes and flickers and vies for our attention in all colours. And it’s annoying. And because it’s so annoying, the volume is turned up even higher.
Â
There is a wonderful way to attract attention and make people curious:
Â
You tell them a story.
Â
There is something magical about stories. They make us forget everyday life for a moment, stop time and transport us to another world. But that’s not all: a good story has an effect on our lives. J. J. Abrams says: ‘Life often makes no sense. There’s something about stories that gives a sense of order and purpose to the world and allows us to live other lives.’
Â
That’s why I tell stories. Film=stories.
Â
Stories that are not intrusive, but haunting, that are exciting and stick in the mind, that touch and get under the skin instead of being swept aside by the attention filters.

Films on your website increase the time users spend on your website (according to an ARD/ZDF study by 750%), increase conversion, are the favourite of search engines and users remember the content of videos much better than the content of text.
