The market for jobs applicants is highly competitive, the battle for the best talents has been fiercely fought. The days when a company advertised a job and candidates queued are long gone. Professional recruiting software such as softgarden, for which I was shooting the new image film this summer, helps companies increase the reach of job ads and attract more applicants. But that is no longer enough.
Nowadays, job applicants inform themselves intensively about a company before they even apply. Soft factors such as corporate culture, work-life balance and flexible working hours are increasingly becoming the focus of attention when potential candidates are deciding.
We live in an applicant market. It is not a question of a candidate applying to us. We apply to candidates.

Therefore a lively self-presentation on the career page is a “must” for companies to present themselves as an attractive employer. However, the company’s appearance becomes truly authentic only when the employees themselves have their say, allow an insight into the company through interviews and discussions, and thus give top candidates the decisive impetus to decide on a company and apply for a job with it.
One of the first customers for whom I was able to produce such a series is the Hamburg credit comparison portal Finanzcheck.de. The company is in an extreme growth phase and is urgently looking for bankers and programmers, which is why it has completely redesigned its career page.
