Re-Shooting for Ina Dassel

Berlin-based graphic artist and jewellery designer Ina Dassel has been working on a wonderful collection of rings, earrings & bracelets, handmade with love from Japanese Miyuki beads in Prenzlauer Berg since 2014. The last few years she has mainly sold through her website and Berlin craft markets. Now she is taking a big step and has been represented by the agency YKON since this summer. As her previous photos were already a few years old and the collection has changed constantly since then, it was high time to re-photograph the entire collection.

After spending the year so far almost exclusively at my desk and writing my fingers to the bone on two major projects, I finally had the pleasure of unpacking a camera again and going into a studio. The camera was – admittedly – just my little iPhone camera and the studio was a small mobile softbox for packshots, but it was still a great pleasure to finally take something physically in my hands again and not just string words together and polish sentences, but to invent a suitable set-up, set the light and, above all, take photos.
You will soon find the result on inadassel.com, as well as www.ykon-agency.com.
