Re-Shooting for Ina Dassel
Berlin graphic artist and jewellery designer Ina Dassel has been working since 2014 on a wonderful collection of rings, earrings and bracelets, handmade with love from Japanese Miyuki pearls in Prenzlauer Berg. In recent years she has sold mainly through her website and Berlin handicraft markets. Now she is taking a big step and is represented by the agency YKON since this summer. Since her previous photos were already a few years old and the collection has changed permanently since then, it was high time to photograph the entire collection anew.
After spending the year almost exclusively at my desk and writing my fingers sore on two major projects there, I finally had the pleasure of unpacking a camera again and going to a studio. The camera was – admittedly – only my small iPhone camera and the studio a small mobile softbox for packshots, but nevertheless it was a great pleasure to finally take something physically in the hand again and not only to string words together and polish sentences, but to invent a suitable structure, to set lights and above all to take photos.
You will find the result soon on inadassel.com, as well as www.ykon-agency.com.
