Deep in Bavaria

The script funding has not only revived the “Aliens in Upper Bavaria“, but has also enabled me to finally dig deeper into Bavarian history and actually find out how it really is with the origin of Bavaria. Currently I am travelling all over Bavaria, looking, searching, finding and discovering new favourite places and asking all sorts of people from the museum attendant in Burghausen to the head of the Bavarian costume research institute in Benediktbeuern a big hole in their stomach. All this in the attempt to bore the gaze through Sepplhütige Folklore-Bayern and to penetrate to its roots. Because even if the Sepplhut wearers say so: the Bavarians did not always wear lederhosen and the dirndl was actually invented at the end of the 19th century for the townwomen who were in the countryside for summer resorts. More of such and similar stories soon, together with some nice new photos of the Bavarian secret places and videos of shoe flattening aliens. The real truth about the Sepplhut-bearers then hopefully starting in autumn in the new script.
